 Hello Please join us for the private view of: 'A beautiful encounter with unsafe sculpture' 6.30 - 9.35 Tue 12th Oct at the A&D Gallery at the gallery.(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ra5o6r3xTq4) Constructed from saw blades and knives, they add intimidation and danger to a purity of line. The relationship of the metallic edge and the organic shapes they create enhance the conflict that is inherent in the artist’s vision. For Jones, the work is a response to perceived alienation and gender & trans gender politics, for the viewer, the tension and fragile boundaries created by the sculpture convey a universal emotion that transcends any original motivation. The nature of the work means that this exhibition is quite brief and ends on 19th October. If you can't attend the pv, please make every effort to see this fascinating work.
